Burlesque Bessie

Before I get to today's card, I must show you a couple pics that I took the other day. You are probly going to be getting an eyeful of my kids this summer on my posts, so get used to it! LOL
So the weather was so beautiful the other day (the day after a HORRENDOUS rain/hail storm), that I sent the kids outside fully dressed from head to toe, thinking the weather was still yucky, then I go outside to find that the weather is GORGEOUS ! In fact gorgeous enuf to hook up the new sprinkler system. Check this out. Before pic of my youngest hanging onto the sprinkler.

Then I turned it on. If you have the ability to zoom in, you will see he is right pissed off at me......to put it mildly.....for spraying him in the face after I cranked the water! BWahaha!

Then there's Reade trying to drink some water while getting soaked! lol

Onto my card which features an image from the new Blue Butterfly collection available at Bizzy Becs, called:

This image is called Burlesque Bessie. Isn't she saucy! Right! A perfect card for those boys who think they are men and Men who just want to be boys! haha
Now if you look closely I have :
A) went with a pink & brown theme
B) went with dots & spots, without entirely meaning to do so
C) colored the browns on her stockings opposite ways on each leg!! lol
I know, I know.....but this is what happens when you get together for a girls night crafting session whilst having a few adult bevies! I apologize! But hey, great fun was had by all!! LOL

The party time stamp is from SU. The ribbons are from Really Reasonable Ribbons & the flowers are misc.
OOoOHH. I have two more pics for ya, actually they are more for Bonnie at Really Reasonable Ribbons!
Check this out. My Ribbon Ring Storage, holding all my RRR ribbons!

The metal rings  you see at the top of the hanger; are actually supposed to hold the plastic clips (that are holding my ribbon) but I found that I just couldn't see them all as clearly as I would like so......... I put them ALL on a hanger and spread them out! YAY! No more crinkly ribbon!! I am waiting for my other order of Ribbon Rings to put all my misc ribbons on now!

Thanks for stopping by today. Don't forget to pop over to Bizzy Becs Store blog to get some sneak peeks of the new line of images coming available soon, ALSO perfect for that man in your life!!!! (wink, wink, nudge, nudge!)

The little metal embellies are from my SU Hodge Podge Hardware set! OH ya, I also added some liquid applique to the top of the beer glass then I set it with my heat tool to make it puff up.

Happy Father's Day

Did u miss me, did u miss me, huh, huh, did ya, did ya?!!
What can I tell ya. It was my birthday on May 11 (candy coming soon). I had a course at work that day for 7 hrs, came home, then my daughter made us supper (Taco Salad.....yummmmy!), we had cake....got a few crafty presents from some great friends & then I worked for 2 days (12 hrs shifts). Now I'm off for 9!! Phew!
Can't say I've missed the headaches with blogger lately.......geesh, he's being a real bugger hey?!!

Today I have a father's day card to show you, cuz for us here in Canada, Father's day is just around the corner (middle of June sometime).
Hey you can never be too early, can ya?
This digital image is available at Bizzy Becs.
It is from the Blue Butterfly collection called:

This image is called Cody Fishing.
My hubby loves fishing, whenever he gets the chance to, which isn't very often. My daughter loves to fish too, so we are all hoping the boys will follow suit. I don't mind it, as long as I'm catching something. I'm not about sitting there being bored. NOPE, not gonna happen.

I made my 'waves' with my slit punch up one side of a piece of paper & down the other side. Then I pop dotted them. These papers are from a SU set given to me by Kelly a long, long time ago. I have been wanting to use these clouds for some time. Phew.....know when you get that urge to just make something with something you've found. .......glad I got that outta my system.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope I've inspired you to get started on your father's day cards!

Here I am with second GDT creation for the  Corrosive Challenge where they have a fabby sketch lined up ! You are are just gonna have to hop over there to see it.....nah, nah....I'm such a tease I know!
I have used an image from Bizzy Becs 'Miss Cherry Martini' line of Digis called Crystal School Girl. Isn't she awesome. Yup she's available at Bizzy Becs. Perfect for that back to school card; even though school isn't out yet; how can you tell I wish school was all year round! LOL
Square doily is also from Bizzy Becs.

The heart shapes are from Susie Sugar's Die Cut Dreams Store & the pearls on the butterfly (MS punch) & in the corners are actually liquid pearls. My first time using these and they are wonderful. Have you ever used them? You can make them as big or as small as you want/need them! So perfect!

Oh Daisy!

Wow, it has been bizzy, bizzy holiday for me. Hubby said to me last night "Great holidays hey hun?"
Spring cleaning, course studying, birthday party events, laundry, laundy & more laundry, cooking, cleaning, organizing, shopping.........bleh! I'm ready to go back to work! LOL

PS- went to see the movie Soul Surfer on Saturday & it was REALLY Good! I highly recommend it!

I'm here to show you a new image now available at Bizzy Becs
It's a new Blue Butterfly Stamp Line called...........

This is "Daisy drinking a Cocktail" & she is one of the many new images in this line.
I chose a purple pallete. I think I was inspired by the ribbons in my last month Really Reasonable Ribbons ribbon club pack. Ah. Miss Daisy, soaking up the sun with a nice little drink. Lemonade perhaps?

The Dreams sentiment  & the crackled flowers are pieces of chipboard & the flowers are from misc places.
The crackle paint is tattered rose from Tim Holtz. This is the paint that (if you remember me speaking of this before) upon opening, was completely dry. The store owner where I bought it from, put another one aside for me after I called to complain (sweet woman), however I decided to just add water and attempt to use it.
Ta-da! Worked like a charm.

Please pop by the Bizzy Becs Store Blog for more great inspiration from the DT of the new digi lines at Bizzy Becs!

Challenges for my card:
Whoopsi Daisy- free & easy

Daisy on a CD

Will you believe I am on holidays. Bwewahaha! I just started back to work , but have to use up my holidays from 2009 before May 1 2011, so I am off until April 22! Cool right? Another cool thing is the above picture.....they are hubbys CD's...hee hee & needless to say he wasn't very impressed that I borrowed one!!

You are probly saying to yourself, OMG what is she doing now, right?!?!
Well.......I was intrigued by the challenge at the Crafty Pad to alter a CD.....as soon as I saw the challenge I knew I had to do it!
So I chose an image  from Bizzy Becs new Blue Butterfly Stamp Line : Meet

This is "Daisy sitting with Sunglasses" & she is now available at  Bizzy Becs Store.
I thought she would go perfectly with the altered CD for a teenage birthday.
The sentiment is the picture below was a freebie from Sentimental Sundays, where every sunday they give away freebie sentiments & the sentiment in the picture below that is a sentiment I made on my computer.

I got the tutorial for the CD case off of Splitcoaststampers HERE. Very Easy Peasy & Handy Dandy considering I have some CD's that need cases!! Yay!
The little metal flower is one I bought last year in a pack at Hobby Lobby. The yellow flower beside my image is a gift from Mrs. Susie Sugar! Mwah! love em.
I used a piece of flower paper from my Tim Holtz paper pack as well as my Tim Holtz filmstrip to accent my creation. Oh that reminds me, these are my last two magnets, must buy more!

Bizzy Becs- A line of Daisys'

Alongside the new Miss Cherry Martini line of digis at Bizzy Becs, she also has this line of digis available April 1st.

It's a whole new line of DAISY images & this one is called 'Daisy laying in a field'.
I just love the feel of this image. So spring. So summer. So fresh.

I added a Magnolia Die Doohickey with gems & glitter & also added a little brown frame I bought at the dollar store, except I painted it with Distress Ink - weathered wood- crackle paint! A brand new purchase for me from a local craft store. I have been aching to try this stuff & turns out I absolutely love it!
Problem is- the Tatered Rose one I bought is almost dried up completely.....I've called the store to complain, but won't hear back until later today sooooooooooo.............all you crackled paint fanatics......can I add water to moisten it up or will it ruin it? HELP!

Y

SNEAK PEEK- Available April 1

Bizzy Becs has some new stamps coming out APRIL 1 !!
This is another sneak peek of the new Blue Butterfly line called:

This cheeky little girl is called "Cheeky Dakota in Stripes".
I actually love the way this card came together with the metal mesh in the background & the little metal letters that, in actuality, say "4 you". You know ......roman numerals. IV = 4. I know, I know I am 'like so hip, okay?!' ROTFL. And I really like the greens with the black. Call me Crazy!
I will be giving this to my daughter's BFF for her B-day in April .

There are some Tim Holtz papers in the background & misc green ribbon overtop of the Really Reasonable Ribbons spiderweb ribbon. I also added a bit of silver bling to her dress frills.

Be sure to check out Bizzy Becs Store Blog for more great SNEAK PEEKS!
