Yup this one is for the boyz AND for her DT members who begged her for some boy images. Ask & you shall recieve! She delivered some real doozies!!

This little fell is called Cody Covered. Typical boy image hey?!
I love it! I was able to use alot of my Tim Holtz papers & distresser to get the exact feel I was going for. I also used some of my Halloween spidey web ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbons! Cool huh?
The sentiment is a sticker I put on black paper & faux stitched around.
I colored Cody with watercolor pencils, blending stumps & baby oil & used my Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink pad to ink all around him !

Thanks for looking today!

Totally Tilda meets Creative Inspirations DT posts

It's that time again!
Totally Tilda is coming back at ya with a new challenge: Use Tilda AND

USE CHIPBOARD

while at Creative Inspirations  we want to see

EASLES

Yup, we want to see those chipboard pieces, you have long since forgotten about;  front & center with Tilda! If I can do it, you can too!
Heck while your at it........make an easle (much like I did here ) and plop it into the Creative Inspirations Challenge as well!

Inspiration for my creation comes from an amazing blogger Nixe Moni. If you have not checked out her blog yet/lately, you MUST go there! She is an amazing artist & every creation on her site is a little piece of magic here in blog land. So when I saw her latest on my dashboard.......(a couple months ago now)......I knew I HAD to try it! You can also find the link to a tutorial for this on her blog.

Chipboard brown scallop circle, blue & yellow butterfly and pink & white bracket (lower left side of Tilda) are from a misc pack I bought at Hobby Lobby. I added a blingy pink frame to the lower right side around the flowers. All the ribbons  in the center are from Really Reasonable Ribbons.

Needless to say, this was a time consuming project, it was well worth it.
I just love trying out new things!

I will be giving this to my mom for her birthday March 16.

Creative Inspirations prize sponsors are:
Photobucket
AND

& Bunny Zoes is ALSO sponsoring the TOTALLY TILDA Challenge too!!

Challenges for my creation:

Ribbon, Candy, Tickled Pink.....oy....

************************************************

FIRST let's talk ribbons

Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings is wanting to see how we store our ribbons & they are having a  huge giveaway for their ORGANIZATION WEEK!
Now I was not going to take pictures of my disorganized mess, but after reading Dora 's blog (you bad influence you) I thought, pffpt.....why not. Please don't hate me Bonnie, these pictures are really embarrasing cuz I know I should look after my ribbons better! Thus the need to WIN some organization tools! And after seeing the tip today, I am totally gonna buy a hat/jacket hanger & some clips & start getting my "sheer" together!! LOL

1 container........

2 containers........
3 containers........

......more...........

***************************************************

Now Let's Talk Candy----
------nope not mine (see top of my blog for that one)

Chelsea of Crafting Life's Pieces has Candy. Not just Yummy candy, but HOMEMADE yummy candy. Take a look at this gorgeous picture. OMG!

Thanks for the chance girl!

***************************************************

Now Let's Talk about Being Tickled Pink

I tell ya, one of these days I am gonna be so tickled pink, you guys are just gonna fall off your chairs with excitement. However, til that day comes, I am still TRYING my best to be Tickled Pink with their latest challenge of Black, white Plus One (I chose Red) & a GDT call! When I saw their challenge posted today, I had to get all over it & quick! lol
Here we have Cherrie with a Rose. She is one of the few Tickled Pink images I have & I love her to pieces! In fact so much so, that I paper pieced her shirt, pants & rose. Then I added some red stickles to the rose.
All the ribbons in the center are from Really Reasonable Ribbons & believe it or not they were all found in that mess ( of ribbon disorganization) at the top of my blog. The heart is a die cut from the Die Cut Dreams Store. The little metal pieces beneath the rose are from a spellbinder embossing plate that broke when I tried to emboss with it. So naturally I saved it to use as embellishments.

Then BAM!
Whoa, look at that, it's an easle card. A Twisted Easle to boot!
So fun to do, but note to self, twist it the other way next time, cuz see in the pic above, the little white piece sticking out of the left side (near the top.......) doh, it appears to be a backwards card, but when it's standing, it looks just fine! Phew!

I carried the metal over to the bottom. The white ribbon is silk that I got a dollarama & the black strip of sequins on the white ribbon is recycled from my daughter's headband that busted! Yay, for busted stuffs! LOL

I would also like to enter my easle into the following challenges:

Sentimental Sundays- pearls & lace
Fab'n'Funky- make it girly
Stamptacular Sundays- good luck, congrats, best wishes
Simon Says Stamp & Show- show us your metal
Sketch Saturday- sketch (see below)- I put the sentiment on the other side, hope that's ok?!?!

Bizzy Becs- Blue Butterfly Stamps- Boyz will be Boyz

Yup, you guessed it....Bizzy Becs Blue Butterfly Stamp Line has a new release out: It's called:

Meet Cool Cody.
He's dreamin'.
Pfppt.....girls!
Actually this girl is from a previous Bizzy Becs line called Sweet Love. I made her smaller & die cut her with my nestie shape.
The shape of the card & co-ordinating blue stripe paper is from Susie Sugar's Die Cut Dreams Store- one of my recent purchases!

I hid the sentiment on a tag between the layers of the Die Cut papers, then attached a ribbon! I made the sentiment on my computer. It says "Get your head outta the clouds, kid & blow out your candles".
Yup, a birthday card. Having 5 nephews, one can never have enough boy cards. I also find that I can't get enough of this Jute ribbon for my boys creations! It is so perfect.

Pls head over to the Bizzy Becs Store Blog where the other DT girls are showing off this new collection as well. These digi's are now available for purchase. You can also check out my Boyz will be Boyz Accessory kit post HERE.

Challenges for my card:
Creative Craft World- cards for a male
Simon Says Stamp- anything goes
All Sorts- card for a teenager
Anything goes- die cuts

Luca is very busy!

Finally I get to let Luca out to play! lol
I have had this Tickled Pink Luca Stamp colored since December, but was waiting for the perfect opportunity to create something with him! Now's the time!!
There's a new monthly challenge over at Tickled Pink stamps.....it is the Christmas Challenge- where this month they want to see traditional Christmas colors of red, green & gold. So what better time to show off Lil Christmas Lad Luca. I watercolored Lil Luca with SU refill inks and copics. One of my first attempts at watercoloring (which I completely fell in love with BTW). I also added liquid applique & glitter to his Santa hat.

I added numerous ribbons, trims & embellies to my tag, including the little angel button, white snowflake button & the gold metal corner adornment to the bottom left corner. I also diecut some snowflakes to add to my tag, cuz what's Christmas without snowflakes. Hey?

Wooo Weeee look at that sinister little "kiss me under the mistletoe" grin! LOVE IT!

I am also entering the Tickled Pink Stamps (regular weekly) challenge where this week the theme is "Sewing". I incorportated some stitching to my tag down each side as well as in the red organza ribbon at the bottom of the card! How fun to use hubby's sewing machine! Yup, it's actually hubby's, but I've recently adopted it as my own!! (thanks hunny)!!

I am also going to put this in the Tickled Pink Facebook Page where they are looking for a GDT for April! Ooh what I wouldn't give for a spot like that!!

There are also a few other challenges I would like to enter my tag into: Oh la la Challenge (it's a man thing), ABC Christmas (E for embossing/embellies), Winter Wonderland (snowflakes),  Christmas Stampin' All Year Long (how much bling can you bring), DCD Christmas (inspired by a song)- 'I saw Mommy kissin' Santa Claus', The Crafty Pad (use a ribbon), A Spoon Full of Sugar (vintage, shabby  theme) AND Aly's Sunday Challenge (anything goes).

What's that?

Right?
Is that what you are wondering?
Well it's a woops & you are gonna have to head over to the Steel Magnolias Blog (where my alter ego lives) to find out what that means!
But before you go, don't forget about my blogaversary candy !!

Cupcake Inspirations - Guest Sweetie Spot!! YAY!!

How exciting to be a guest sweetie at the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge this week. I just love their inspirations photos, aside from the fact that I could sink my teeth into each & every one of them, they provide alot of inspiration............Thus Cupcake Inspiration Challenge!! Ta Da!

[[**PS- Perhaps I will give this cupcake to my son who turns 1 today! NAH! I'm making him a cake and I'll post all about it later!! Happy Birthday Merik Ryan Max Smyrski **]]

This weeks sponsor is Paper Garden & they provided the DT with some images, so I got to play with them too. They are simply gorgeous! I was truly inspired once again. I chose to use the Spring Blooms 2 set of digital stamps.

In the set I used a couple different images on my card. One of the images I printed onto Kraft paper & it is sticking out from behind the colored image. The other image is front & center.
To capture the greens I used Really Reasonable Ribbons leaf ribbon to encircle the image alongside the doily, which I cut the center out of, in order to show off the backing papers. I added some seam binding and buttons to the top right corner & a gold corner adornment I got off eBay to the bottom left corner.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to be a GDT at Cupcake Inspirations Challenge this week.

Don't forget to enter my blogaversary candy post at the top of my blog. Click on the pic to follow the link!

Hello everyone, are you ready for a new Blue Butterfly Stamp release from Bizzy Becs!?! Well,  since us DT members have harrassed encouraged Bec to come up with some boys images she has decided to call this new release line

The new DIGI line will be released on March 5 & I have just posted these pictures on the Bizzy Becs Store  blog (where in Austrailia it is March 5 already). To inspire you today I have made a set of tags with the 'Boyz will be Boyz- Accessory Pack'.
As soon as I saw these images I knew I had to make some tags with them. I cut the tags on my handy dandy Cricut machine! Alot of the papers I've used are from CTMH & alot of the ribbons are from Really Reasonable Ribbons.
