Charisma GDT- Second/Last Week!

*for my Christmas Candy see the sticky post at the top of my blog*

Yay & Boo (sobbing)  it's my 2nd week; my last week as the GDT at Charisma Cardz Challenge Blog! Hey, did you know that Charisma Cardz Challenge is the second bestest blog around....check out this link if you don't believe me:
ebuzzing "

This week is an
ANYTHING GOES  theme!
Everyone's favorite!
I have opted to use a Lil Pinkette from the Tickled Pink Stamps Store. Her name is Lil Pinkette TomBoyz Audrey!  (PS- in my Christmas Candy- which ends in about 36 hrs or less- I am giving away the whole TomBoyz Pinkette Set to one lucky winner)
This is actually my:
 a) first time inking her up
b) first time coloring a Pinkette.
Oh how I love these lil gals!! This one especially reminds me of my daughter. She's 10, she loves fishing with her dad, although it does not happen nearly enough.

The papers were in a stash I won from Eulanda, as are the wee clouds on the front & inside of my card. The sentiment on the front is a chipboard piece and on the inside is stickers from the same wonderful candy from Eulanda. My fishy sticker attached to her fishing pole & bait bag on the ribbon are from my scrapbooking stash. Ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbons.

And the inside!

Challenges for my card:
Everybody-Art- anything goes
Try it On Tuesday- anything goes
Aud Sentiments- anything goes
Seems a little Sketchy- sketch (see below)

Of course with the traditional Christmas colors and added some glitter, stitching, puffballs to their hats and liquid pearls around the image.
The bakers twine is from Really Reasonable Ribbons and brads are from my age old stash.

FAVOR #2-

My BFF, The Prairie Fairy, & her family are going thru a trying time right now.
She has come to some revelations as of late, as we all seem to do when our limits are tested.
Roberta, the fairy, is truly a remarkable woman, who would do anything for anyone, sometimes putting herself and her needs last. She is an amazing woman, neighbor & most importantly friend. When I need a cup of milk or a couple of eggs, she's running over to lend me some of hers & when I need a shoulder to cry on.....well, she's running over with that too!
You can read her post in FULL by clicking here (There is also a DOWNLOAD button on her blog for the image you see below), but here is the most important part.

--**""Some things we should keep in mind while enjoying the holiday season.

Forgive those who have hurt you, they need your love more than you probably realize.
Close your computers, turn off your phones, curl up on the couch with your loved ones and share stories of your adventures and dream together of adventures yet come. Be still and listen, to those blessed souls you were so lucky to have been graced with. Savor every moment so you have more memories to share later.
While in a holiday line up at a store this week, talk to those near you and send them a dazzling smile, no matter how late or how long you have been standing there. If you don't know what to say, just smile as big as you can. At the very least you will get to laugh at their possibly panicked reaction as to why you would be smiling at them! If you are done, go to a personal care home and spend some time with a lonely senior or two or go hand out a meal to a homeless person. Give them a dazzling smile too.

I have created a warm and cozy little winter cottage.

This is a free download that I am offering.
At this moment, someone dear to me is fighting an epic battle. A brave warrior, ready to conquer the odds. Odds that are continuously improved by the Canadian Cancer Care society.

In exchange for this free file, I would love it if you could do two things for me. If you can only do one or the other that is fine too.

1. If you could make a donation for the image above that would be great. 100% of the donated money will go to the Canadian Cancer Care society. DONATION BUTTON IN THE SIDEBAR

2. For those of you who believe in the power of prayer and sending out positive energy into the universe, say a prayer and send out that energy for all those fighting cancer, and do it every day.

I will send the proceeds in January to the Canadian Cancer Care Society, and I have even put up a $'s raised chart in the sidebar so you can see how much we have raised. If you can give anything at all that would be wonderful.

Biggest hugs and best wishes for a wonderful holiday season.

xoxo
the fairy ""**--

Please, I urge you to find it in your hearts to help out in any way that you can!
Be sure to hold your loved ones close, not only during this holiday season, but for always!
Take Care.

Anything & But.........

***This above gift cert has been added to my candy draw...see sticky post at the top of my blog for details**

----------------------------------------

How is everyone doing today!?
Me? I'm still waiting for the Christmas Spirit to kick me in the butt.
You see, there is not very much snow here, so it seems as though my spirit of the holiday season is wavering! We usually have a whole whacka snow, at this time, enough to make a snow pile in the backyard for the kids to slide down: like this:

Not this year! Not yet anyways! So having said that I have made a creation that is Anything But........

................. Christmas!!!
I decided not to make a Christmas themed card.
Rather a male themed bookmark! How do you like them apples! LOL
I have made my bookmark using my  Lost in Thought dude that I purchased from Funky Kits. I used my Tim Holtz picket fence die to make my edge, upside down..... just like so. Some stitching, some ribbon and some buttons with a couple suh-weet words & wicked-a$$ chipboard sunglasses, makes this one awesome corner bookmark.

Thanks for stopping by today, Pls pop by tomorrow for a very important post!

Challenges for my bookmark:
Sweet Stamps- chipboard
Really Reasonable Ribbons- anything goes with ribbon
Bunny Zoes- fancy folds/shaped cards
Cards for Men- number 2- 2 buttons, 2 description words
The Crafty Pad- anything but Christmas

What is your FAVE past Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge

**see the sticky post at the top of my blog for Christmas Candy**
--------------------------------------------

EEk. I'm so late in posting this, don't tell my boss!! BWahah!!

-----------------------------------
I just got back, yesterday, from my first agency nursing stint and might I say, IT WAS FANTASTIC! I'm in the process of trying to convince hubby to move to the lovely little town I traveled to.
It was  4 hr drive (one way), the hospital is a 10 bed facility with an emergency room and attached clinic and PCH!  It was such a nice & different pace than what I am used to!
It's always nice to see how other facilities operate!
Thanks to those of you who sent me well wishes with my agency nursing. I must admit I was soooooooooo super nervous, in fact, I was nauseous.
The downfall to the whole experience is the accommodations. A great little 1 bedroom apartment that is situated RIGHT BESIDE THE POLAR EXPRESS!! LOL It felt like the train was coming thru my room every 2 hrs, all night !! LOL The second night, I got some ear plugs and we were good to go!
I go back there on December 30 & 31! I can't wait!

-----------------------------------
The challenge at the Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge Blog  is to :

SHOW US YOUR FAVE PAST TICKLED PINK STAMPS CHALLENGE

This challenge will bring us to 2012!! Yup!
A new & exciting challenge will be showcased  in January 2012!!
Until such time, we want to see what challenge you liked the best from ALL the past Tickled Pink Challenges. Think about it!
Think hard!
Was it stitching?
Was it a shaped card?
Was it to use 'Pink'?
I,personally, have chosen to use one of their great sketches.
I LURVE sketches!
This particular sketch is from challenge #24.

Traditional colors!
Colored with copics and watercolor pencils, blending stumps and baby oil.
The sentiment & holly arrangements are from a Some Odd Girl clear stamp set. I embossed the paper before I placed my stamps. Perhaps I should do it the other way around next time. Ah, live and learn!
Ribbon is from the Ribbon Carousel.

Can you see the bling around the sentiment, on her dress & the stocking? I added some liquid pearls beside

Challenges for my card:
Cupcake Craftroom- Christmas Traditions
Jingle Belles- all wrapped up

Fairy Fun Friday- Christmas without Red & Green

*for my Christmas Candy, see the sticky at the top of my blog*

It's almost Christmas!
OMG! Is everyone ready!??
I think I almost am!
I am a bit sad this year cuz I work Christmas Day, however I was able to switch Christmas Eve, so I can have that day off for Christmas supper and the opening of presents!
Thank goodness for great co-workers!
-----------------
The theme this time at Fairy Fun Fridays is

HOLLY JOLLY CHRISTMAS- use NON-TRAD Colors

I have chosen to use the  image Carolers Singing  from Prairie Fairy Designs. And I went for a kinda vintagy, shabby feel. My card is pretty straight forward with all my usual extras, from swirl stickers, to twigy hearts and of course ribbons and cheesecloth! I also have a wee tag tucked away in there behind the picture and doily. (see below for pics). The sentiment & wee bells on the tag are from a The Deck the Halls Tobie clear stamp set from Some Odd Girl. Oh yes I also added some drops of liquid applique to resemble snowflakes.

Finally at the bottom I spritzed my card with some shimmer mist.....does it look like snow blowing!?!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope to see you at the  FFF challenge this fortnight!

Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas!!!

Challenges for my card
Bearly Mine- non-trad colors (no red or green)
Delicious Doodles- X-travagant Christmas
Raise the Bar- Christmas

Charisma GDT

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello Charisma Fans!
I'm so excited to be the GDT for the next two weeks over at the Charisma Cardz Challenge blog! YIPPEEE!
This week the challenge is :

LAST MINUTE CHRISTMAS MAKES

So guess what? Yup, I 'm finishing off my last minute Christmas Cards!
And I made a Tilda one!
How sweet right? Like "Sweet Christmas Dreams" sweet! LOL
I made a white on white with a colored image in a white sparkly dress!
I stamped my girl on some inside of a wrapping paper roll......looks like Kraft paper so I thought, Hey, I'll try coloring her on this funky paper. I used watercolor pencils and DRY blending stumps & here's the result. My image is a bit scuffed and bent from me trying to 'uncurl' it! Ooops! Anywho, it didnt' end up looking too bad.
Another recycled/round the house item is this cloth doily being my nestie scallop shape in the center.
I blinged her up with prisma glitter, stickles and glittery white paper. Oh, then I spritzed my card with some frost shimmer spray.

I sure hope you can find the time to join in the Charisma Cardz Challenge this week and show us your Last Minute Christmas Makes.

Thanks for stopping by!

Some Odd LOVIN"- Reveal Day 3

So how did everyone enjoy the new release Valentines Hop, last weekend, from Some Odd Girl !?!>!?
Wicked Awesome right?!>
The winners are being posted daily with the new release posts....so don't forget to hop over to check it out to see if you've won!
Today we are showing you another new stamp (first day was Foxy & Electric Love, yesterday was Lovey Tobie) with lots of inspiration from the team members!
Today's reveals are for
Romantic Gwen & Crushin Gwen!
I have used Crushin Gwen on my card today.
I got out some of my 'hearty' papers and doilies and got straight to work.
All the accent stamps are from one set or another that are featured during the next few days. The sentiment actually comes with the beautiful Gwen.
This stamp is now available from Some Odd Girl Store for PRESALE!!

So there I was merrily stamping away with all my hearts, Gwen was all colored up & pasted down, when BAM......ink on her face!! (see below). OMG! Hubby was at the table with me and he totally thought it was his fault, because he was 'talking to me'. I said. No, it has nothing to do with you, it was me not watching the other end of my clear block! ACK!! Frustrating! As you can see I tried to use my clear blender copic to remove the ink, then remembered......it's INK,,,,DUH! NOT COPIC!! LOL Anywho, I had to start from scratch with my girl Gwen! Please make me fell better and tell me this has happened to you too! LOL

This card will be posted to my online galleries:

Some Odd Electric Love!

Hello SOGgy fans!
Today is the start of the Valentines Releases from Some Odd Girl !
We are showing you Foxie and Electric Love.
If you want so see what I did with Foxie, you can see my hop creation HERE
This post features the latter.
Electric Love.
I have opted to make some 4X4 Valentines cards for my son's Pre-k class.
I stamped off Love Bulb on various colors of leftover cardstocks (a great way to use up them scraps) then I cut them each out & placed them atop more scraps of paper & ribbons.
I still have to stamp "Happy Valentines Day" on them cuz I don't think the "you turn me on" sentiment that comes with it will go over very well with kids aged 4! LOL
If I'm not mistaken, these stamps will be available at the Some Odd Girl Store after all the reveals are seen!
EDITED- I am mistaken- THEY ARE UP FOR PRESALE RIGHT NOW!!!

Here are the rest of the cards I have yet to finish!
Shouldn't take me too long. LOL

These will be posted in my galleries:

SOME ODD GIRL FLICKR GROUP- 12 weeks of Christmas

Challenges for my valentines:
Karen's Doodles-CAS
Oh La La- anything but a card

For my CHRISTMAS CANDY click here
------------------------------------------------------------

HOLY SMOKERS! I completely forgot that it has been two weeks since the last challenge at The Sketchy Challenges!! I almost forgot to post this one!?!> Sorry guys! For the next fortnight we have a super creative sketch from JANE! Here it is!

Does it inspire you!!?
I was TOTALLY inspired & here is my card to prove it!
I've used the image Nose to Nose from Crissy Armstrongs digital collection at Whimsy Stamps! HOW CUTE RIGHT! OMG! I totally fell in love with this image, having two small puppies in our household! The purple parenthases and sentiment are chipboard. The blue flowery frame around the image is actually a border sticker I cut and pieced together to make a frame. The little dolly is from Dollarama, I bought a long time ago thinking I'll use it sometime.....what a more perfect opportunity than with this little girly stamps. Paper are misc. Raffia Ribbon is from Bunny Zoes.
I shaded some blue/green copic tones around the image, but you can't really tell. Perhaps if you blow up the image you could see it better.

Thanks for stopping by today & I hope to see your inspiration at The Sketchy Challenges this week!

Pls hop over to say HEY to the rest of the team:
