I am not sure where the idea of the layout of my card came from; I think I made it up! Regardless I am in LOVE with my layering & please with the finished product! LOL (it's ok to say that right?)
I used a Wags n' Whiskers stamp that I won during a challenge. First time inking this one up! I immediately saw her with pink hair. Everything else just fell into place. All the glorious little sticky butterflies and gems! And multiple types of flowers! And let's not forget the awesome summery ribbon & misc paper!
Woops, don't forget the homemade pin in the lower left corner there, peeking out behind the flowers!
Embellies out the ying yang!

Raffia lace ribbon from Bunny Zoes and the other ribbons are from Really Reasonable Ribbons as are the little blue & yellow flower embellies! Paper are misc from a pack o paper I bought a long long time ago. Funny how we find those little treasures right when we need them hey!?!?
-------------------------------
K, now it's your turn.
Stamp up a RUBBER stamp up & make an embellie filled creation with it & get it into the LIIU challenge & hey if you can, make it pink & turquoise and get it into the Corrosive Challenge as well.

Pearls & Lace & INSPIRATION GALORE

So how was the royal wedding? Anyone go?
My invitation got lost in the mail I think, so I tried my darndest to stay up & watch it, but here in Canada, at 1 am, I grew very tired; so I called it a night. Then I awoke this morning to catch the royal couple on the balcony. Even saw a kiss! Yup I did, which was apparently more than the people who were actually there saw! Happy Wedding Day Kate & William! Yay!
------------------------------------------------

Now let's get started shall we, I've got a long one since I've been MIA for a few days! heehee
-----------------------------

Do u eva just get so inspired by something that you just have to get going on it?
Well that's how I feel about Tickled Pink Stamps. Yup, all their stamps. I just get so motivated to create when I see them. So when I saw their latest challenge of pearls & lace this week, I knew I HAD to make something for it.
Now, you think pearls & lace & you think girly right?
Well I decided to do pearls & lace on a more masculine note.

This is Frankie Frankenstien from the Lil Haunts Collection.
I got him from Kellie (owner of Tickled Pink Stamps) thru the Tickled Pink Facebook group. She asked everyone which digi from the store they would choose if it was available for one day & one day ONLY? Frankie was my choice. I'm sure Kellie had thought I'd gone mad, so here I am showcasing him! Isn't he wonderful?

The spiderweb lace is from Really Reasonable Ribbons. I made the small green satin rose flower from a tutorial I saw the other day at the Really Reasonable Ribbons blog HERE. A wonderfully easy way to make ribbon flowers! Gorgeous! The tassel I got at Dollarama. And the papers are from a Tim Holtz paper pack. Oh yes, I also hid a piece of my local paper in there, purposefully upside down, so don't even ask!?!

Lovely colors

Welcome to a few new followers. I never remember to say that. I feel like such a blog snob sometimes. I do apologize for that, for without all of you, I may loose my MOJO!
Thank You!

****************************************

I am always intrigued by the colors at the By LoRi Designs Challenge. And since I have a few of her gorgeous images, I def had to participate in this weeks challenge which is this color palette:

This image set has 3 items (all on my card) & is called Hannah with words. My daughter's name is Hannah (geesh alot of my inspiration for my cards comes from my daughter hey?-lol) so naturally I LOVE the image!

And here are the lovely photo shots where you can see my awful blending! Bleh. Please stay focused on the very first card on the post! LOL I don't do the photoshop editing thing due to the fact that I DON"T OWN photoshop, plus;  it takes away from the ''au natural'' feel of the card with all it's blunders! Bwahhaha!
I used some fabriccy papers (yellow scallop and pink backing) I bought EONS ago, but have since refound. Hidden stash. I LOVE IT!
All the ribbons are from Really Reasonable Ribbons, even the little piece on the tag. ((PS- RRR is having a 3-day sale- Here's a snippet from their blog: "We have been adding lots of fun new ribbon styles in the last few weeks so now is the perfect time to stop by and take a look. Please use the code SUNSHINE in the promotional code area on the first page of checkout to get 10% off your entire order including sale items from now through midnight (Eastern time) on Thursday 4/28. (Sale code is not valid on prior orders, ribbon club subscriptions, or special order items). You'll also want to take a look at our SALE section because there are loads of great offers in there. Shop early for the best selection.
We have some great Spring styles available by the cut piece, spool, or in great assortment packs. Here are a few great assortments and embellishments you can find on our website.))

I used my new MS butterfly punch for my green buterfly & the remainder of that paper is used in the last pic, where you can see the inside of my card. Sentiment on the inside is a sticker!

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope to see you all again soon.

Challenges for my card:
Simon Says Stamp & Show- show us your buttons
Pollycraft Mondays- fun & games
Sentimental Sundays- let's get punchy!
The Crazy Challenge- 3 different papers
Sketch & Stash- sketch (see below)

Creative Inspirations DT- Anything Digi & a good-bye

I'm a bit late in posting this DT card so for that I am sorry.
I'll start today's post with my goodbye-
I'd  like to say thanks to Jude for giving me my big break in blogland by accepting me as a DT member about a year ago?! I'm not even sure how long I've been on the team cuz I've had such a blast ! But with summer here now (in Manitoba, Canada) my life will be increasing with busyness from swimming lessons to soccer games to just spending time with my 3 [occassionally] glorious children. haha......So this is goodbye as a Creative Inspirations DT member!

This fortnight (my last challenge) at Creative Inspirations Jenni (your host) wants to see:
ANYTHING DIGI
THIS WEEK WE ARE BEING SPONSORED BY LETRASET & THE STAMPING BOUTIQUE

Do u think you can find a digital image somewhere in order to take part in this challenge?
Bwahahahhahaa!!
I have used the image Tulip Fairy from Stamping Boutique.
I placed her on a shape from Susie Sugar's Die Cut Dreams Store (currently closed until June- but check back then) . She fits perfectly!
I used some white seam binding from  Really Reasonable Ribbons & dyed it according to Linda - The Funkie Junkie's tutorial here. You should have seen my hubby's face as I did it! At first it was confusion, then it was amazement. "Wow" he said, "that looks great".
All the rest of the bling is from Hobby Lobby!

I added some "dew drops" to the flowers to resemble a freshly fallen rain, like we have had here off & on for the past few days. As you can see, NO DP, rather I used embossing on the white cardstock! Sweet huh?

Come on over to the Creative Inspirations challenge and show us YOUR digi!

Challenges for my card: to follow
All Sorts- April showers
Paper Sundaes- sundae toppings- die cut, sparkle & pearls
Simon Says Stamp- embossing
Crafty Calendar- April showers bring forth May flowers
Ellephantastic Challenge- anything but square or rectangle

Reminder, news & a SUPA-STAR!

Hey ya'll! Hope everyone is having a wonderful April.
Can you believe it's almost over?!>!
Crazyness, hey!

First things first with this post, this is a friendly reminder that the current challenge at LIIU is
------ STITCHING! ------
You don't miss this challenge. But remember you must use a rubber stamp creation to enter!
AND To spice things up:
There is also a DT call doing on with this challenge.
So if you are interested in being on a monthly DT that allows you to ink up your Rubber Stamps, then go check out the deets HERE!

Next- NEWS--
I've made some important decisions in my blogging life lately & as such, have had to let some of my DT's go  :-(    . The reason behind this is primarily to spend more time with my family this summer....we've got a busy one lined up with swimming lessons, soccer & a family va-ca in August! Also, simply enjoying the weather with my family.
----------------------------------
I also want to concentrate more on my scrapbooking, which has taken a serious backseat to all my cardamaking.
--------------------------------------
HOWEVER, another decision I have made is to concentrate more on designs, DT's & stamps/images that intrigue me to the utmost. Believe me, there are LOTS of those out there! Having said that, there are a few  DT's I would give my left arm to be on (I am right handed so I must keep this one for crafting purposes................enuf said.......lol)
One of those teams is Tickled Pink Stamps, who, BTW, is having a 3 month GDT call at the mo! WooHOO!! I just love these stamps/images & after winning one during one of their new release blog hops, I simply HAD to order more. Nothing like a good piece or rubba!
The stamp I used here is called Lil Fashionette- 80's Sookie. As soon as I saw her I knew I had to have her, cuz she so reminded me of my daughter. She loves her karoeke, Micheal Jackson (especially on Wii), & singing & dancing!

The papers I used are a recent purchase at Micheals. Tim Holtz 12X12 paper pack reg: $26.99 on sale of $7.99. NO KIDDING! YIKES. I nabbed it up.
Lotsa distressing going on.....Stitching.......sponging & another recent purchase..... (at the same time as the aforementioned paper) is a set of Tim Holtz Grunge Paper/Material shapes.............it is sooooo cool, but I have to investigate as to what I can do with it!
Anywho, the frame is of the Grunge material. I sponged it with Vintage Photo ink then sewed on it! The sentiment inside is also stamped with vintage photo ink & is also from the Tickled Pink store.

I also stamped some SU shapes around my little Sookie!
Green satin ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbons & Raffia is from Bunny Zoes. The little yellow swirly circle is misc that I've had FOREVA!

Wish me luck in the GDT call!

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:
Tickled Pink: GDT call - sketch (see below)
Cupcake Craft- lots of layers
Wee Memories- girls just want to have fun
Pile it On-use a rubber stamp
2 Sisters- BINGO- ribbon, swirls, glitter

Last minute Easter creation.

I just hate when days get away from you. Seems all I did yesterday was sit on the computer, blogging. One thing after another kept catching my eye, then it's lunch time, then ...ok ....one more quick glance at my mail, then boom it's supper......what the?!?! On the up side, I did actually sit down after supper (sans computer) to create! Do u ever find that if the computer is at your fingertips, then you are always on it. Step away from it, close it down & pick up the crafting scissors, ladies and gents, you will get alot more accomplished.

I was inspired by numerous challenges for this card.
First of all at All That Scraps Magnolia challenge they want anything Marvelously Magnolia ("May" moments)! Now, easter is April, I get that, however, this will also make a lovely mother's day card from her 3 kids. (me, my sister & my brother- Of course I'm the youngest hiding in the egg- lol) .After checking out that challenge I was intrigued by the Back Panel Side Step Card Pam Sparks created; thus another computer search rampage began! Finally I found Pam's wonderful tutorial page where she created a Front Panel Side Step Card, which I am now fondly in love with. Thanks Pam! After a few miss measurements, wrong scores and misjudged cuts, I ended up with my creation! Not too bad for a first try. I LOVE trying new things.

Then at Magnolia-licious Highlites blog- they want to see Tilda & Edwin! That's not asking too much is it!?! LOL, Poor Edwin, he seems to always be pushed to the side hey?>! So I gave him a little limelight here. This is the only NON-Christmas Edwin I own and he is very versatile!

Also the new sketch at Just Magnolia appears to match my layout:

And the new Frosted Fridays Challenge to incorporate a butterfly or bird on your creation, lends well to my side step card.

Next at Stamptacular Sunday, they are Magnolia-licious & at Magnolia Stamp Lovers & Magnolia Down Under they both want Easter creations!
Then there's Flutterby Wednesdays that has an OPEN challenge.
Phew!

Oh Ya and can't forget at the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog- they have this fabby photo inspiration to trigger your craft buds. This is what pulled my whole card together! Pinks & Greens. How'd I do?!

I just had to show you this last shot of Tilda with Butterfly that I borrowed form Lori. (I too am in love with her now, thanks alot)! Check out the sky behind her. YUP! I did that, with a little.....ok A LOT......of help from Dana. Ever since I saw one of her many MAGNIFICENT creations a couple months back, I have been aching to get my hands on some blue copics to make some clouds. Thanks to a Just Magnolia gift cert win, I was able to order these copics to complete some sky/cloud scenes! Thanks DANA!

Thanks for stopping by today.
I hope you all have a very happy easter!

Sketchy Colors

I'm just so excited to hear that Tickled Pink Stamps is sponsoring the current challenge at Sketchy Colors, which is this fabby sketch.

I don't know if you know this, but I {heart} sketches. Especially ones with lotsa layers (thanks Dora for knowing that about me! heehee). I have used a newly released image from Bizzy Becs called "Daisy with her doggy". She is just one marvelous image in this DAISY collection! You really must head over the Bizzy Becs Store blog to check out the rest of the DT's inspiration!

I have used some of my awesome pink & brown puppy paw papers as well as some "Bone Times- puppy newspaper clippings". lol ....I embossed the die cut scallop circle with puppy paws then brushed it over with Vintage Photo Ink. OMG, what did I eva do without this ink pad! Thanks Stacie.

Thanks for visiting today!

Oh Daisy!

Wow, it has been bizzy, bizzy holiday for me. Hubby said to me last night "Great holidays hey hun?"
Spring cleaning, course studying, birthday party events, laundry, laundy & more laundry, cooking, cleaning, organizing, shopping.........bleh! I'm ready to go back to work! LOL

PS- went to see the movie Soul Surfer on Saturday & it was REALLY Good! I highly recommend it!

I'm here to show you a new image now available at Bizzy Becs
It's a new Blue Butterfly Stamp Line called...........

This is "Daisy drinking a Cocktail" & she is one of the many new images in this line.
I chose a purple pallete. I think I was inspired by the ribbons in my last month Really Reasonable Ribbons ribbon club pack. Ah. Miss Daisy, soaking up the sun with a nice little drink. Lemonade perhaps?

The Dreams sentiment  & the crackled flowers are pieces of chipboard & the flowers are from misc places.
The crackle paint is tattered rose from Tim Holtz. This is the paint that (if you remember me speaking of this before) upon opening, was completely dry. The store owner where I bought it from, put another one aside for me after I called to complain (sweet woman), however I decided to just add water and attempt to use it.
Ta-da! Worked like a charm.

Please pop by the Bizzy Becs Store Blog for more great inspiration from the DT of the new digi lines at Bizzy Becs!

Challenges for my card:
Whoopsi Daisy- free & easy
OSAAT- make it sassy

A Tickled Birthday

I placed an order at Tickled Pink Stamps a while back & I got my order a couple days ago! So excited to finally get my RUBBA! You know as much as I love digi's, sometimes there's nothing like a good rubber stamp at your finget tips!
I thought for sure I would have my stuffs in time for the last Tickled Pink Challenge, but NOPE, so I decided to get in on this week's challenge which is a fantastic sketch.
 I LOVE SKETCHES!
Here we have Molly Mitten's Christmas. I altered her a bit to make her a birthday card. I covered the holly on her dress with little blingy flowers (pic below). I also paper pieced her dress & hat. I added a bit of festivity to the end of her hat instead of the pom pom.

All the ribbons are from Really Reasonable Ribbons. I am now in love with this silk ribbon. It is such a perfect accent! I stamped a balloon from my SU Whimsy set with my CTMH blush ink & stamped a sentiment on it with Vintage photo ink.

Heres' my completed inside. The color looks off, cuz I took this picture at a later time of the day. Woops sorry! As I said above this is a birthday card,  for a girl in my son's class. Her 4th birthday is today & we are going to Party it up from 10am til noon! WooHOO!

Challenges for my card:
Simon Says Stamp- card for a child
Freshly Brewed- cute & sweet
A Spoon Full of Sugar- all creatures great & small
Tuesday Throwdown- sparkle & bling
Ai Factory- party animal
Paper Sundaes- childhood memories ( I loved my b-day parties)
