************************************

As for me on a personal level, I am currently working nights, finishing off 2 more (tonight & tomorrow........). then our family is on holidays for 2 weeks! Much needed away from home time! I may be in & out on the puter, I may not be, so I am prescheduling a buncha posts that will hopefully go off without a hitch! (Blogger you better co-operate)
I have creations to share (I have been feverishly working my butt off so I could get ahead), I have GREAT news to share & I will have major catching up to do upon my return.
If I don't see you before I leave......Hope you are all enjoying your summer, if you are on this side of the pond, and your winter, if you are on the other side!! lol

*****************************************

As always,I like to share some blogs that I have found in blogland that have truly intrigued me, inspired me or simply made my mouth drop or made me pee in my pants (info overload, sorry-hhaha)
So here's a few for you today.................if you get a chance, pls pop over and give these bloggers some love, cuz we could all use some from time to time.

ZuZu's Petals- Altered Art'n'Stuff- this lady does the most amazing things with trinket boxes, picture frames & as of one of her latest post a pocket watch. A truly gifted altered vintage flair appeal. I just love to stop by her blog for a feast for my eyes!

Joanna at i love 2 cut paper  makes the most amazing creations with templates from the Cutting Cafe. From Onesies to dresses to surfboards. She has the cleanest of lines and homemade rolled flowers that will make you want to reach out and touch them. CAS with a twist, I'd say!

FINALLY

Carrie at Carrie on Carrie is another wickedly talented vintagey retro blogger that I found whilst looking at the enteries at the Simon Says Stamp & Show Challenge. Her entry intrigued me so I went & had a snoop around her blog & needless to say it did not take me very long to become a follower!

Tickled Pink "Not Square" meets JUST WORDZ "Anything goes"

Welcome to another challenge here at  the Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge blog. What have we got up our sleeves this time.......hmmmmm...........we want to see a creation

ANYTHING BUT SQUARE.

I have chosen to use Lil Lad Stefan & a SURFBOARD shaped card.
When the Lil Lad release came out, I immediately fell in love with this stamp. I knew I just had to have him in RUBBA! So I ordered him & this is my first time inking him up! I was so excited to use him & to make a matching surfboard card......all by my lonesome. OK, not really;  when I googled it Joanna's link to her blog HERE came up & it intrigued me so I clicked it (only to find out she used a template- DANG). Oh well, it got my mind racing!   So I created my own.....HOW ? oooo my chicheta's ...... that's a tut for another day along with a tut for my homemade sandals!! YAY!

And your probly wondering what the heck my title means right?!?!?!!?!!??????????
Well, this is the second DT creation for JUSTWORDZ using my JUSTWORDZ stamps

On the inside of my card I have used the WORDZ "It's Party Time"....the [ 's ] is actually seperate from the [ IT ] which only goes to show the versatility of the whole set!
I thought this sentiment was perfect for the inside considering the outside of the card resembles a party all by itself with all the ribbon, faux streamers and surfboard HUNK! LOL
Do u want to win a set of these stamps (pictured on my top right sidebar)......then you must visit all the DT Blogs (bottom of my post) to be in the running! Check out all the details HERE.

ooooooo.................check out those sandals. I had fun making those, but again.....you must pop over to the Tickled Pink Store Blog in the middle of August for my tut on that! I know. I tease! heehee!

One last shot of my main Lad Stefan! So scrummy!
You too can have a Delish Side Dish of Stefan & other Lads by hopping over to the Tickled Pink Stamps Store . In fact if you want to take part in the weekly Tickled Pink Challenge, you must use an image from the Tickled Pink Stamp Ranges! Get on it will ya.....go make a card that is NOT SQUARE!!!! lol

A few pics for ya!

((Just getting some pics of the kids from July 1 so you can see ma family!
Stay tuned!))

That's Reade in the front! O man did he put a fight every time a ride ended. Literally....a screaming match!

Taking a break, enjoying a  popsicle !
Brotherly love of food! LOL

Here my 16 month old realized how to ride this wee battery operated bike!
I tried uploading a video for this, but I guess it takes a LONG time!! So will try again in a bit!

Sitting at the beach. Soaking up the sun. Truth be told he was much happier outside the water! HAHA! He's actually NOT crying in this picture!

Oh and this is priceless. This is what happened while fireworks were going on!
Merik (16 months old) fell asleep first. Then I see Reade (3 yrs) looking at Merik, 'eyeballing' the situation (so to speak) wondering how he can possible put his head down too! This is what he came up with! So cute! Til they woke up!!! LOL
I will also try to uplaod a fireworks video too!

OMG FABULOUS NEWS & a card

**Click here for the JUSTWORDZ post, where if you comment [on all the DT's blogs], you have a chance to win a prize**

--------------------------------------------------------------

Okay sooooooooooooo around about the beginning of July or so, there was a post over at the Simon Says Stamp Blog asking for submissions for Magnolia creations from anyone who wanted to be featured on the back cover of the Fall 2011 Magnolia Ink Magazine!
Well guess what...................(Thanks to my fellow fairy Margreet for letting me know)  after e-mailing Steph, she informed me that one of my older creations got chosen to be on the back cover along with some other super talented ladies' creations! You can read about it HERE on the Simon Says Stamp blog.
The set that will be featured is in this post HERE (or see below).

You can bet your booty I am gonna be buying that issue! LOL
I guess then it'll be safe to say "I've been published"! Yahoo! *happy dance*

So as not to forget about my Magnolia stamps (like that's even possible), I created a card yesterday as a celebration of sorts, and of course, because I want to take part is some awesome challenges! Teehee!

I have used my Exploring Tilda masked with the Cellar Door stamp. Something I have not done in a LONG time.......masking.....OMWORD.....I forgot how much work it is! LOL. But I love the overall effect! Also I forgot how much room it would take up; practically the whole card front!
Since I am in Canada, it took a little while for these stamps to arrive & in the meantime I kept thinking about what I was going to do with them.............and this creation was on my list, then I saw SARA do one exactly like this! LOL. I told her she jumped into my mind & stole my thoughts.....BaWahhaaha!! See Sara's card here! The resemblance is uncanny!

Cheesecloth & ladybug - eBay
large wrinked blue ribbon- Really Reasonable Ribbons
wee flowers & touch of pink seam binding- Linda's Etsy shop
Sentiment- JUSTWORDZ
Speaking of those WORDZ, Kim has candy at her blog for a set of these stamps if you leave comments on every DT's members blogs each Friday until the end of Aug.

This is the JUSTWORDZ set:
Enter my Blog Candy

So to meet the MDU challenge of Paper Tole, I have colored & cut Tilda's clothes out & popped them on  as well as the ladybug (3 times) and the wee butterfly & insect beside the ladybug (2 times). I aslo added wire as antennas for the butterfly and other insect. Phew, my hand was sore afterwards!

Not to be missed are also the TOMIC challenge of stitching, Magnolia Mania of lace or ribbon, All That Scraps Magnolia Challenge of HOT HOT HOT days of summer & Dutch Magnolia lovers theme of Summertime.

I hope you have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

I chose to highlight the words

BEST WISHES

And naturally I had to use a sweet Tilda stamp! Thanks so much to all the inspiration around blogland with the newly released Sweet Rainbow Collection, I have totally fallen in love with Scarecrow Tilda (which can be purchased at the Magnolia-licious Store HERE). I did not have this stamp....I was silly not to have bought it in the first place.....however a fellow blogger was so kind as to send me a RAK of stamped images, this being one of them! Mwah!  TY Lisa.
I got straight to work making a birthday card for a very special friend........
However she has not gotten it yet, as I am still waiting for part of her present to arrive (I sure hope she doesn't read my blog today- LOL)
OHHHHHHHH I just love this Tilda. For real!
Let's see what can I tell you about my card. I got the leafy flourish Cheery Lynn Design die from Bizzy Becs & the straw hat embellie from Dollarama....I just dusted it with tattered rose crackle paint. The pink mesh down the side and the raffia ribbon on the bottom are RAK's from my fairy friend Suzi! She's so good to me! TY! Organza ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbons.

I distressed, I glittered, I painted,  I pearled up the butterflies & all the while following the gorgeous sketch at the CLP challenge blog (see below).

I urge you to hop on over to the JUSTWORDZ  DT girlz blogs (see below) in order to see some more great inspiration of these very versatile stamps! Remember if you leave a comment at each DT site.......the more likely to win the candy draw mentioned at the beginning of my post! HAVE FUN!

What have I done??!
Take a look-see at this little bitty!
It is a book-box-card that I followed the instructions for over at Bonnie O'Claire's blog. So fun to do. Especially with this new Lil Little Lad Frankie image. He is obviously off to school, so I ran with it & made this little creation for one of my sons teachers as an end of the school year thank you. I put some Partylite tealights in the middle of it.
I used my school papers from my scrapbooking stash, tassles as ties, added some paperclips & did a bit of embossing . NOPE that is not an actual clipboard clip on there, it's paper...Very KEWL right! I know!! Oh, I also paper pieced Frankies' clothes.......very private school dontcha think!?!

I spelled the word LEARN with my metal letters that I bought at Micheals......AGES ago!
And what is a masculine creation without some buttons.......NUTIN'.....so there you have it! Buttons on the bottom.

Kenny K celebration!

So..........I can't believe that I almost missed the one year anniversary of  the Kenny K challenge!?>!
They are celebrating with a huge hop with GINORMOUS prizes....so I thought....hey why not!
Once you joined in the hop you MUST create something for the challenge at a theme of ANYTHING GOES, in order to be in the running for any of their prizes.
AND DANG IT, as luck would have it......I got a "Delivery Status Notification" from one of the blogs I attempted to leave a comment......it told me my comment could not go thru....so I am about to check to see if my comment is there or not.........cuz if it's not, then I am SCREWED in the attempt at winning anything during this hop!! AHHH!!! O well, at least I got a TON of inspiration!!!
Enough rant.........I chose to make a card with Biker Girl.....which I won during a New Release Whimsy Hop! This is the first time she has saw ink! I know tsk, tsk!!

The jute on the inside & outside as well as the blue & white polkadot ribbon are from Really Reasonable Ribbons- my fave ribbon store! Papers are Basic Grey's Wander paper pack & misc. The frame I got from Dollarama, I brushed it with Weathered Wood crackle paint then sponged with blue SU ink. The sentiment in the frame was another Dollarama purchase . Biker Girl & bike are colored with watercolor pencils , baby oil & blending stumps except for the skin & red parts of her clothing which are copics.
I also added crystal effects to the bike & her hair for added shine.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Totally Tilda DT- Tilda as a Christmas Ornament

It's Christmas In July over at the Totally Tilda  challenge (and all over blogland it seems- lol ) & we want to see Tilda

ON A CHRISTMAS DECORATION

I have created a hanging CD ornament. I first saw the recycling of a CD over at the Crafty Pad Challenge a long time ago & after making a creation for that challenge I thought how awesome a CD would be to re-produce into a Christmas decoration.

I have put the same Tilda on both sides but switched around the colors to match the papers. One side is red with a green Tilda dress and the other side of the CD is green with a red Tilda dress!
How fun was this really?

Ribbons are from Really Reasonable Ribbons! And words are misc from my stash. Actually I think the lovely Lori gave me the JOLLY words for Christmas one year! Gosh I'm a little late in using them hey!?! LOL

You simply must hop on over whilst singing "we wish you a Merry Christmas" to the Totally Tilda challenge to check out the other girlz creations!

Fairy Fun Friday- On Holiday! Woo Hoo!

Ok, don't be alarmed but yes, I am here for the third day in a row!! YAY! I was just so inspired by the Prairie Fairy's new images and my wheel barrow (I shall explain later)......that I just HAD to make a summery card! At Fairy Fun Fridays for the next two weeks we are:

ON HOLIDAY!

I can tell ya there is nothing I'd rather be doing than swinging from a tire swing attached to a tree branch! HHmmmmm ....my hair blowing in the wind (if it wasn't so short-lol)...and if only I had a sturdy enough tree to attach my big ass butt to !LOL
Anywho.....I mentioned my wheelbarrow earlier because it's filled with sticks & twigs that fall from the trees into our yard. Then our dog transports those twigs all over the place & we go around collecting them to put them into the wheelbarrow (aka- our firepit). So as my kids played around the yard two days ago, one of them knocked off some of those twigs & I got to thinkin' (i know, my mind can be a scary place sometimes)....HEY, I could make this Swingin' Summer Gilly image look soooo kool!
So that be the story of the tree branches on my card! I also added some Jute, to resemble the rope, around the tire swing.

Sentiment is compliments of a fellow fairy Tracey Brossart! Not only is she a talented crafter she is just as creative in the sentiments she creates. You must check out her blog & etsy store cuz she has lots of inspiration from cards to jewelry to sentiments, including freebies.....lots & lots of freebies!

These two shots are of my handy dandy makeshift attachment work that I put together to attach my branches. Some eyelets and more jute with a little crystal effects as glue......and VOILA ....a treebranch swing!

Oh I almost forgot to show off my recycled flower. This is a creation from the talented Lori. It was attached to a birthday card she gave me LAST YEAR! Yup, I kept it......I keep it all....heads up to anyone who has ever sent me a homemade card.....I will re-use your stuffs, cuz I just can't bear to throw it out!

Phew. that was a long one.......how about a little pic now?!
This is my daughter feeding a chipmunk at my FIL's place.

Tickled Pink Challenge #28- Make it Cute & Use a Butterfly

Hey everyone.
Two new creations in two dayz!?>>!>!
I must be sick right?!>!
Well I honestly made this one a while ago in preparation for this challenge, so I truly have not been crafting like a madwoman.....Instead I have been enjoying the weather & scolding my 16 month old from climbing on EVERYTHING (case in point- see below).  You know that little bugger gets to the top bunk of my 3 yr old son's bed in 0.2 seconds! UH!! The horror! LOL

I digress, last week at the Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge we saw some phenomenal creations using doilies, so this week we want to see even more creations using the theme of:

CUTE & ADD A BUTTERFLY

So I have chosen to use Lil Little Lolita Ivy. She is so pretty with her wee bunny at her side! My vision for this card was to create a window with butterflies in the backdrop.....do u see that?!> The butterfly stamps I used in the background were a gift from my dear blogger friend Dora. I sewed some lace to the window edges....oiy.....never again! boy did we all fight...me, the machine and that lace!! But hey it works, right?!
I surrounded Ivy with some super sweet florals most of which were again from Dora! My girl, you spoil me! Mwah!
XOXOX
I added some pins, pearls, cheesecloth, an oriental umbrella and let's not forget some more butterflies to my card! I stamped the word friends on the mirror butterfly in the top corner too! The next picture shows it much better.

OK, it's your turn.
Don't have a Tickled Pink Stamp?
Well you are in luck because starting on the 15th, the digis go on sale again (once a month for one week) So head over to the Tickled Pink Stamps Store & buy some...............ah heck while your there you may as well get some RUBBA for future challenges too!

Remember you must use an image from the Tickled Pink Stamp Ranges in order to play in the Tickled Pink Challenge.
