Edwin as a teacher gift & an award

Welcome to another day here at my blog.
How is the weather where you are?
We are struggling to get some sun now that it is officially 'summer'.  If only it would stop raining!
Today (Wednesday June 22 ) is my 3 yr olds last day of pre-school, so I whipped up this little creation for one of his teachers, on Monday. Cuttin' it close much!?
This is the first time I have ever made a tealight candle card & I had to google it to find some YouTube videos & Voila!
I used some papers that I recently bought where I work. You see we have little book clubs that come to the hospital & leave stuff for either "pay & takes" or " to order from". This school paper pad was a "pay & take"  (& yes even though I grounded myself, I could not pass this up) lol.
I have used my Edwin with an Egg Basket & put apples in the basket & one in his hand. Teacher......apples.....see where I'm going with this! LOL
I am TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH THIS EDWIN!
He can be used for anything.
At Easter I put flowers in the basket!
Perhaps some snow balls at Christmas!?!?!
SO versatile. For sure my best purchase to date!

These letter blocks are a funny story, first off because the N's are actually Z's....cuz I got no more N's & secondly because the name says Mr. Nancy. When my son first started preschool he came home & told me his teachers names were Mr. Nancy & Mr. Janet! I laughed so hard I cried!

I added a wee apple charm at the top of the tag with some suede ribbon to pull it out with.
Acetate was stamped on with Staz-On ink with one of my CTMH stamp sets.

The faux stitching around the tag was inspired by Lou who recently 'lost her sewing machine'. RIP. I never think to do cute little faux stitches like this...............& although I'm sure many of you have used this same technique before, it was Lou Mac that pushed me over the edge! LOL
Yup the tag was also in the school paper pad purchase, I just added lined paper to it!
This & another wee gift should get those teacher smilin'!

Now onto my sweet blog award given to me by the sweet, sweet Margreet!
Mwah! Thanks m'lady!

Rulz for this blog award are to tell you 8 things about myself (although I think I read somewhere, it is 7 things....so to make it fair, I'll just tell you 15 things----bwahahha! NOT! ) & pass onto 8 bloggers!

Things you may like to know about me are:
1. I have a bad temper. I blame my dad (bless his soul)
2. I want a hot tub!
3. If I had a million dollars, I'd be dangerous!
4. I always order the same thing when I go to restaurants I am familiar with (afraid of change I suppose)
5. When I had my first child I wanted a total of 5
6. I have 3 children (NO MORE) lol
7. My motto: Everything happens for a reason!
8. Our fishes just had babies....Yay!

LMAO! Love the Mr. Nancy story! Too funny! Thanks for the sweet award! Yes, your right just got it and posted so I prob won't do it again but thank you so much for thinking of me! :) Great to learn more about you....sometimes it is better to stick with what you know and like at restaurants...if it is just okay I will try something new but if it is something I LOVE then everytime I switch I get disappointed! And how fun to have baby fish! What kind are they?

Have a great day!

Must get my thinking cap on for teacher gifts too. My problem is I spend so much time thinking I run out of time for creating LOL!

What a fabulous teacher gift this is!! I'm glad that I don't have school-aged kids but I do sometimes miss the funny stories that goes along with raising them. My one son was enough to compensate for 3 and as the saying goes, "My momma didn't raise no fool!" I decided that motherhood was not really my greatest strength though we both survived his teen years and he turned out just fine. LOL! I digress.... sorry! Anyway, your card and gift are wonderful and Mr. Nancy is gonna love 'em!

Hugs, Anniebee
