Gingerbread anyone?!

Well, here I am with a wintery, wonderland card. The inspiration for this card came from waking up this morning to almost a foot of snow outside our door! A blizzard, yup, that's what I'm talking about, so I thought, may as well get in the spirit of things.

Another inspiration for this card was the fantastic digital designs pulled together by my team leader over at Prairie Fairy Designs. She whipped up a couple of digital designs in a matter of hours and thought I would share this one called Gingergirl !

I am entering this card in Susie & Vicki's Christmas Club Challenge, as it appears this is THE PLACE TO BE! Making cards throughout the year to avoid a big ol Christmas-paper-pile-up-mess in December, sounds like a good idea to me. The theme for this challenge is (you guessed it) Gingerbread!

I am using the sketch from Card Patterns Sketch #48. I found this sketch very user friendly.

The DP is from CTMH and the snowflakes are Dies from Sizzix (borrowed from the Prairie Fairy herself). I incorporated a stamp set from CTMH called "All Decked Out" to make the Gingergirls hat and scarf (& swirlies on the blue background). I also used my NEW punch from Stampin' Up for the saying (which is also a SU special). Misc ribbon, glitter and a brad finished off my SU marker & watercolor pencil colored gingergirl!!

Hope you like her!!

Awww, what a sweet card! Love it!

I wanted to answer you on how I made my Mer Ian sparkle - Copic Atyou Spica Glitter Pens! I just swirled the clear glitter pen all over his skin! So much fun :)

Hope you're staying warm!

Corry, this is great. I love the ingenuity using the scarf, toque, etc. What a great idea!

I wish we all lived closer, but out here, I love it in the country.
