Who wants some SUGAR & a funny story?

First of all, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your kind words on yesterday's post re: the candy mix up. As for the work related incident, I am still in a bit of shock....find myself in another 'zone' at times, but thanks for some good friend and good laughs last night....I was able to put all that behind me for a few hours.

**************************************

Secondly, I'd like to congratulate Trisha on her win at Magnolia Down Under!!!
WWWWooooooHHHoooooo!
You rock chicky!!!!

******************************
Now onto my card.

I saw a GREAT sketch at the SugarBowl Challenge & HAD to use it! Me & sketches. We get along fairly well sometimes! LOL
I have used my new Simply Sassy Sugar Nellie stamps called Lost in Thought & Skater Girl both available HERE at Funky Kits.

I have a funny story about my 'chipboard heart' here. You see I went to a local scrapbooking store in search of something I had bought there previously & they DID not have any more, so naturally, I spent the money on something else. This Tim Holtz Die. Whilst I was in the store I asked about chipboard coasters........the conversation went something like this:
"No I think she gave them away" (obviously not the owner)
"oh that's too bad " I say
"well you can buy big 12X 12 chipboard pieces you know" she says to me
"oh, how does that cut on the cricut? a cuttlebug?" I ask (having not used chipboard too often)
"oh it's great. cuts nicely" she says
"oh, ok, do u have big sheets of chipboard?" I ask
"yes, right here......." she leans over & hands me a piece of 'something'
MY REACTION- 'flipping it back & forth'  "oh this is cardboard, forget it, I'll use my cereal boxes"
BWWHAHAH!! I don't think she was none too happy with me.
my question of the day is:
ARE THERE DIFFERENT THICKNESSES OF CHIPBOARD? YES OR NO?
So I come home & chop up my cereal boxes to use with this heart die & VOILA!
I painted it first with blue crackle paint then some tattered rose!

The chipboard sentiment (in the pic below) is from a set I got a long time ago. NOW that's chipboard. Thick and juicy! lol

Thanks for stopping by.
Hug your loved ones. Hold them close.
Never forget to say "I love you".

Seriously Girl...this card is freckin amazing...i so love it..And isn't it like a crafter to figure how to make do ourselfs before we buy. There are many times i see something that i love, look at the price and say, NO WAY i can make that myself...too funny, i think we all do that, (i hope)...TFS! www.justwordz.ca

Great card! LMAO, that is a funny story about the "cardboard"! And yes, there are different thicknesses to chipboard. The thick ones you cannot cut with a Cricut! I have some that are easy to bend by hand and others that are very hard. Just depends on what you want to use them for. Hope that helps!

This is fantastic, Cor! I agree with the others, there are different thicknesses of chipboard, and I don't think a normal die cut or cricut would cut through the thickest! Cereal board is perfect, your heart is beautiful!

Hi Corry....hope you've got over your nasty "Corryspondence" (I hear you groan!) Maybe that's where the third of your threes went :-) I've found that using cereal boxes is great, and if you want it thicker just glue a couple of cuts together - works especially well if you're going to paint it (covers up all the joins) As we say in Australia, 'ava g'day, Dee
