CLP May Sketch

Guess what today is! Today is the day for my first post for the CLP Sketch challenges. 

I am so honored & humbled to be amungst such talented ladies! 

Thanks Chelsea for giving me this opportunity. 

The Sketch this month, goes something like this! 

To celebrate, I have candy at the top of my blog for anyone who is interested! 

When I first saw this Tilda in the Prince & Princesses Collection, I knew I had to have her! 

This is Princess Party Tilda.......I adore her and her lil stance! 

I colored her with copics and painted up around her with crackle paint, as well as the edges of the distressed papers. Bigger flowers are from I Am Roses! I am addicted to I Am Roses! LOL I also used some WOC flowers and my MS leaf punch. Then there's my MS butterfly punch for the wee ones you see here!

CANDY at the top of my blog! 

It's time for another great sketch from the Sketchy Challenges girls!! 

Before we get to the sketch, I just wanted to let you know this is my last sketch as a sketchy girl! I KNOW I KNOW! You heard that before right! But for real. I am having such amazing support for my new home based business, Scentsy, that I barely have time to sleep lately! LOL Yet hubby says, he's never seen me so happy!  (https://corrysmyrski.scentsy.com/Home )

So this DT position  is my sacrifice!  

I will miss all the girls dearly!! Mwah!! 

The sketch this time is from one of our new girls Cordine, with this beauty! 

And here's my take with dear Edwin!! 

I've paired him with some awesome CTMH papers! 

And some of my new fave flowers from I am Roses (thanks alot Bettina) !!! My purchase was so huge, I couldn't even lie to my hubby and tell him I won it! LOL

G'day my fellow blogger friends! Today is "hump day" and that means it's time for another MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS  challenge!!
There were some great entries for our last challenge.....can't wait to see what you create this week for our


ANYTHING GOES/OPEN  challenge!!

OMG!! That's right!
It's an open challenge!
So what have i done!?!
OH BOY!
I've gone an altered a Fruitsations box (there were a ton of fruit flavored gummies in this box at one time) lol....& I've turned it into a donation box for our Village Green Playstructure fund. Where we go to raise awareness about the Playstructure and the need to have a new one at our local park, this box comes too!

 I have used a TON of Magnolias on here, so I am not even going to attempt to name them all. Just enjoy the pictures below!! 

This is the top. I cut an opening in the top flap  and added some soft chipboard pieces & an appropriate sentiment! 

And this is the front of the box in it's completion! 

I have also placed some Maggies on the sides too!! 

I hope you've enjoyed looking at my creation today. I will also be posting it at my alter ego blog The Steel Magnolias!!

I thought I'd get in on the fun and play as a GDT from the CSD DT with these little angels! Aren't they cute. My kraft is the base of the tags as well as the bases of the tickets.

Tai is my dark skinned girl! 

 The DP are from Micheals and they come in the shape of the tag, I free cut the Kraft behind it.

When I saw the DT call come up for the Crafting Life's Pieces Challenge blog run by the fabulously talented Chelsea, I knew I had to apply. With my fingers crossed (which made crafting very difficult) I sat waiting for the answer when one day it came!!

Midweek Magnolias #7

Random Draw at my SCENTSY blog for the first 100 followers! 

Woooooooooooo weeeeeeeeeeeeeee it has been a crazy week with working my regular shifts at the hospital in town, then travelling out of town to do some shifts.....one day one place, the next day another place. I sometimes forget where I am! 

THEN I had a HUGE Scentsy party to host for my brand new consultant last night 

AND as you read this I am at the tax office getting our taxes looked after for tax season. 

THEN I have to come home and make supper for my daughter's Drama class!!! 

OMG!! 

All that aside, we have a new challenge over at the MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS  !! As well, you want to pop over to see who won last weeks challenge! The entries are all soooooooooooo gorgeous, sometimes it's difficult to narrow it down. 

This week our challenge to you is to:

Here I have used a few different Magnolia stamps. Not just people, but a vehicle and doorway too! 

All on a sidestep card. I always admire how people make them looks so elegant! 

In the front I've used Root Cellar Door & Hello little Butterfly, And in the back I've used Tilda's Summer Car with Tilda holding Daffodil sitting onthe back. 

I've also used a few Magnolia dies including the butterfly, mistltoe, and flowers. My grass was cut off my cricut machine. 

Everything has been colored with my copics. UHHHH..I miss my copics. I've had no time to sit with them lately! :(

The sentiment on the inside is Whimsy. It was actually a freebie that came with an order that I placed with them! OMG right! I know. I love it! Totally summer!

The Sketchy Challenges - Janine

HALLOW to all my new followers! 

Thanks so much for popping over from the Saturated Canary Challenge blog where you saw my creation featuring the beloved Krista who "morphed into a digi" (to quote Krista) called Dreads are Awesome! I loved making that card!! 

I also loved making this card for today's new challenge at  The Sketchy Challenges ........and you guessed it.....it's another Saturated Canary digi! 

This was one of the digi's that totally popped out at me with Krista's new releases!  I love it that women are in the military & that they can show the men what women are made of. 

To all you women out there.............SALUTE HER......is for you!

And here is my take. 

Colored with copics, used my Tim Holtz papers, with some chipboard stars I distressed and painted with crackle paint & also some of my metallic letters that spell "Salute".....Oh and the "faux dogtag" was a prize I won at work for completing a survey! yay me! 

Her pants.............ah, those pants were fun. I googled some pictures for camouflage and tried my best to color her pants accordingly! I LOVE the way they came out !

Midweek Magnolias #6

I just want to say I apologize for being a horrid blogger lately. I have become mildly addicted to "words with friends " on Facebook (anyone want to play, just ask....you'll probly win, cuz I'm not very good, but man is it fun!!! )............and I am also addicted to "Auction Wars Winnipeg".......a site where I can place any unwanted items gathering dust in my house, and people bid on them. So much better than throwing things out! So far I've sold 3 items to people who will actually use these things (a playpen, a cappacino machine & some Stampin' Up stamp sets)!! 

I will be around to check out your blogs soon. I promise!!!

MILESTONE BIRTHDAY

Be it a 13th or 18th birthday, 21st, 40th, 50th, 80th, or 100th......

I have gone with a 16th birthday! For my niece who turns 16 this June! How exciting! OMG I'm so old! LOL

I used Congratulations Tilda from Magnolialicious . I colored her with some of my brand spankin' new copics from Oozak (OMG did you see they have a challenge blog now)!!! EEEK! 

I placed her atop of some shiny happy yellow cardstock but did not want to hide it with other papers so stuck to a doily background. 

My sentiment is some of my scrapbooking stickers. 

I used alot of pearls and gems and some of my Really Reasonable Ribbons! 

A bit of bling and VOILA!

Crafty Sentiments Designs Monthly Challenge

Happy Birthday to my daughter, Happy Birthday to my daughter! 

My daughter Hannah turned 11 yrs old yesterday, April 9! 

Wow.....11 yrs have passed. I have watched my baby grow and grow and grow and now she is almost as tall as me. She has taken over my ice skates and my spring jacket. She is not physically my baby anymore, but she will always be my baby in my heart! 

We went to the big city on April 7 to celebrate her 'party'. She took a friend. ONE friend. And I carted them to go shopping, swimming and to a movie! 

They had a blast!

Today brings us a new challenge at  Crafty Sentiments Designs Monthly Challenge Blog!
Our theme this month is very appropriate for the season being 

SPRING

I've used one of the new releases from the Crafty Sentiments Designs Store called My Best Friend. In fact, I think he is available for purchase TODAY along with all the other new releases! 

Colored with copics. 

I used my Whimsy flag die and mini postage stamp die; 

as well as some of my block letters and puppy dog ribbon!

Funny story about this little fella, I colored this stamp while in the backseat of my van after it broke down on the side of a Major Highway last week ! Grrr....there I was driving along when all of a sudden the  van started to slow down despite me pressing on the gas, then it started to buck.....I had just enough steering left to get me to the side of the road before it went KAPUTS! 

So I called CAA, didn't know exactly where I was, so I pulled out the binoculars (yes we have binoculars in our van) and read the big green sign ahead of me, that said "Elie. Ste. Agathe"......PHEW.....a landmark! 

Then I realized the battery on my phone was dying, so I went to plug it into my laptop, and low and behold my laptop battery had 5% life left!! ACK!! 

NOTE TO SELF: charge phone and laptop before taking on a 4 hr ride! 

So I climbed into the back seat of my now freezing van and got out my copics! 

HOW FUN!

Good morning, another exciting day with the DT showcasing another new stamp release. We are half way through our week of previews of our new release 


Spring Stamps Collection 


Today I am  showing you Butterflies and Flowers. 

Oh I had fun with this one. Using some of my swirly dies and putting her on a scallop shape! And yes, putting pearls on her polka-dotted top!! EEK! CUTE! and my wee butterfly punch got put to use again! 

For my ribbons I combined a brown satin and blue wrinkled....to create this layered effect!
