Color Challenge- B & W (2nd post today)

I found this challenge to be very intriguing as the theme is Black & White! And the Challenge is taking place at the Fab'n'Funky Challenge blog. I opted to use a CTMH set called Butterfly Wings.

I embossed the butterfly & sentiment with versamark & white embossing powder. I then, embossed the white paper with an embossing plate purchased at a local store. After embossing the white paper, I attempted to apply versamark & silver Pearl Ex, to give it a shimmer. Well, let me tell you, this ended up being more trouble than it was worth. I had Pearl Ex shimmering off of every part of my body, as well as the remainder of the card, which is why it may look kinda smudgy!! Sorry for that! I had to resort to using Crystal Effects to adhere almost everything to the 'shimmery' white background! The ribbon , white brads & black buttons are misc, and the little silver paperclippy type thing attached to the sentiment is from Stampin up. A little faux stitching finished off the card! If I were to do this again, i would get 15 pairs of hands!!! !

Beautiful card - very elegant and striking with the black and white. The embossed sheet is perfect with that image!

This card is absolutely gorgeous, I saw the colours on Glitterbabe's and loved the black and white also, wow I love this so much, and you gave me a great idea about the crystal effects to adhere some stuff to my next card, thanks muchos. Sorry about Mousey, but great minds must think alike especially when it comes to getting to use new PF digis!!!!
