Ok, maybe not YOUR birthday, but it's somebody's birthday....namely my nephew. He turns 14 on May 21 and he LOVES to fish! So I made him this card.
I followed the MOJO Monday sketch (for last week) however was too late, as today they have a new sketch. I hate when that happens!
The image is from Prairie Fairy Designs and is called Fisher Beary.
I made the sentiment on my computer & me & hubby have a 'bet ' on about whether or not "mackerel" is an actual fish. I looked it up on the internet dictionary & it identifies that word as a fish, yet hubby feels the need to argue! MEN!
Anyone care to place a wager or two?!?!! lol
I added some feather type material to his hat. You know how 'true fishermen' have these hooks in their hats....well, I did my best by adding the "feathers" which are actually portions of a ribbon I have.
Finally I added crystal effects to my fish in the bucket, because according to Google images, Mackerel fish are shimmery silver in appearance.

Great job Corry!! I looked at this sketch and couldn't bring anything to mind, but you did a wonderful job. You are so good at making guy cards.
Love the ribbon fibre it totally looks like fly fishing hooks! Thank goodness for google, proves me right every time too...lmao!!!! I love how you knotted the ribbon where the pattern colour changes, fabulousooo!!!!!
