My card today is for my father-in-law for father's day from the grandkids, thus the 'grandpa' charm you see in the pic below!
I used the sketch from Friday's Sketchers & went with a red & black theme for the Crafty Catz Challenge. And because of those colors I can enter my card into the Sew Many Challenges blog challenge of father's day card WITHOUT BLUE!
I also used a few different punches for the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge of Punch it out (corner punch & label punches).
The image is from Prairie Fairy Designs (Elwin Elephant) & he can be found here along side his girlfriend Elsie! They are sold as a pair, however there are many other fantastic single images at her store, if that's what you prefer! So go & check it out!!
Also, I don't know if you can tell but I made my own background with black & red strips of cardstock & ran it through my cuttlebug machine with the square embossing folder.
This meets the challenge at Fun with Shapes & more.
And to meet the challenge at Fab'n'Funky of paper piecing, I paper pieced Elwin's shirt with black&red licorice paper as well as his body with some paper that resembled stone work.
