Pretty Little Stamps

Lookie what I have here.
A card just for fun!
And with an image of a "pretty little stamp" called Loveable Avie from (you guessed it) Pretty Little Stamps (formerly Gurlee Girl Stamps). I have been wanting to get my hands on some of Chelsea's rubber for some time, but funds and time never allowed, so when I saw that she is going digital.....I HAD to jump on it , then & there!! I was so excited to see these cute little angels.
I've colored her with copics. And added my plethora of embellies! LOL

These papers are form 3 different paper packs I think !
Lace is from WOC.
I've added a little bit of Tim Holtz filmstrip and fuschia seam binding with a pearl brad center.
The sentiment is from JUSTWORDZ!

Challenges for my card:
Little Miss Muffet Challenge-Valentines or love
CES Challenge- lots of layers (3 or more)
Make it Colorful- spring colors
Color Me Creative- colors of love
Crafty Your Days Away- get stitchy with it
CLP Sketch Challenge- see below (I totally flipped it upside down)

PS- if your still here, I just wanted to update you on a post I did a while back about a girl named Darah fighting to beat osteosarcoma.....SEE THIS POST......

Here is what her mom wrote on the 'A Day for Darah' Facebook page

UPDATE: Darah flew out to Vancouver on January 23rd to

undergo some scans of her leg and lungs prior to surgery.

We are ecstatic that the CT of her lungs remains clear since

December 16th. The chemotherapy has been working well

and has contributed significantly to the shrinkage in the very

large tumor she had in her thigh muscle and connective

tissue which measured 20 cm x 8 cm x 9 cm. ALthough the

tumor had reduced in size, it still needed to be completely

taken out to minimize the chance of the aggressive cancer

coming back again. Because of the size of it and the amount

of tissue and bone that was affected, Darah was told she

would possibly lose her entire left leg at the hip. Dr. Ken

Brown, who is the best surgeon in Canada and some say,

best in the world for this type of tumor removal, had told us

that he was going to try his best to salvage the bottom

healthy portion f her leg with a very rare surgical procedure

called a Van Nes Rotationplasty (only 12 performed a year in

North America). He also mentioned that it would be very

challenging and complicated and not without many risks.

After 16 hours of surgery on January 31st, Darah came out

of the operating room able to feel her toes wiggle. She was

very happy they were able to salvage the bottom portion of

her leg with the rotationplasty. This will allow her to play

sports again whereby her ankle joint will be her new knee

joint and she will only require a below-the-knee prosthetic

rather than a full leg prosthetic. Darah is recovering well and

after only 6 days post surgery, and to the delight of the

surgeon, Darah is tolerating physiotherapy very well and

able to stand and walk a few steps at a time. We will be in

Vancouver for atleast another 2 weeks to undergo

chemotherapy and to ensure she is fit to fly before we

return home. ALthough Darah has had the tumor removed

from her leg and the ones from her lungs appear to be

gone, she still must undergo chemotherapy and radiation

until mid July 2012 to ensure every cancer cell is eliminated.

We will also likely have to return to Vancouver a few more

times in the next 6 months for further specialized therapy

and prosthesis fittings. We just want to thank each and

every one of you for the continued support through the past

8 months and we will keep on fighting and each day will get

closer to Darah being cancer-free and active again. We love

and thank you all. xoxo Dana, Darah and Family.

Thank you, to those of you who sent cards and monetary donations I really appreciate it. If

anyone else wants to send some well wishes cards, pls feel free to mail them to me at

Also, just to update you further Darah is up and walking with the aid of crutches and a wheelchair. The prostethics will come in time. She still has to undergo a few more weeks of chemo before she heads home! Definitely makes you stop and think............what's important in life!
