Let's Ink It Up & a new blogger!

*******************************************

Let me start with the new blogger. Her name is Rina and she loves her Maggies!
She is new to blogging and needs some followers so she can have her 100 followers candy draw!
Hop on over to SCRAPBOOK FASHIONISTA to give her some love!

UPDATE: ( I was in a hurry to post this, obviously with all my spelling mistakes above, that has since been fixed) lol Here's a sneak of her soon to be candy.

****************************************************

For the month of March we have a challenge you are going to love. Maybe it was difficult for some of us, THUS the point being a "Challenge", as I don't use this embellishment nearly enough!!
Our challenge is to :

SHOW US YOUR FLOWERS

REMEMBER: You must use rubber stamps here at Let's Ink It Up!
NO DIGI'S PLEASE!

Our sponsor for this month is the lovely lady who runs this fantastic challenge blog......
Suzanne......
who is offering up a prize of her own, including some of her homemade flowers!

I  have used a stamp that I won in a candy draw from Bettina (ps- she has more candy on now too). There were a whole bunch of Sweet Pea stamps in there & I knew I had to use this particular stamp due to the fact that the flowers are so beautiful! I am sorry I don't know the name of the stamp.
I decoupaged the flowers.
This is when the different thicknesses of pop up dots came in real handy.
I colored them 3 times and layered them up, some of them I added a 3rd layer.
You can see this better in the pictures below.

TOP TIP!!!
When decoupaging flowers for a 3D effect I came to realize there is an advantage to having different thicknesses of pop up dots. I have small squares that are real thick, bigger squares that are less thick and wee circles that are the thinest of them all, and I used them all on my flowers! You can really see this in the pic below!

The doily behind my image is cloth and I sponged it with SU ink to make it matchy matchy to the theme.
And this large white flower I think came from Micheals!
The papers on my card are all a mix match of paper themes!
Ribbon leaves are from Really Reasonable Ribbons and the sentiment in the top right corner is from Some Odd Girl.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
And I hope to see you at the Let's Ink It Up challenge this month!
