Card requests

So I had a couple card requests and thought I make them fit a couple challenges.

First I am showing you my Top Tip of saving paper. I hate to waste and truth be told, my blogging buddy gave me this idea in the first place. Why not save what you can. So when making a card, I'll (sometimes, not all the time) cut out the center of my base cuz no one sees it anyways.
Pic on left- what I am starting with
Pic on right- middle cut out of center
Next we have my base and paper I want on top assembled onto my cardstock.

Put them altogether and we have a perfect congratulatory card for a newly engaged couple.
The stamp set is from Stampin Up and I have not cracked it open for a 'coon's age' & it is called
Pocket Silhouettes (definitely an oldie)

My second card on this post I am showing my same paper saving tip & same stamp set  to make a thank you card.

The paper pack I've used for both cards is Basic Grey Cappela.

Oldie But a Goodie- new beginnings
Top Tip Tuesday- saving paper
Crafty Cardmakers- CAS (I know I can't win, but thought I'd support anyways. )
Stamping Vacation- ocassion oasis- congrats
Stamping Vacation- no no challenge- no sparkle
Stamp Something- spots & stripes
Cupcake Inspirations- photo below for first card

I love a paper saver tip, I also hate when making layouts and I pile paper on paper, such a waste. Thanks so much for joining us this week at Top Tip Tuesday!

Gorgeous cards and fantastic Top Tip! I must admit to having done this in the past when I first started card making - but I thought then that I was just being tight! I have since realised I wasn't at all - I just love my paper too much!
Thanks for bringing it back to me - I'm going to start saving my paper again :)

Thanks for joining in with our first Top Tip Tuesday too :)

How nice to come across a fellow gutter!!! I don't do it with every card/paper, but those really lush ones that you didn't really want to cover up with another layer anyhow it's perfect for.

Gorgeous finished cards too.
