Crafty Cardmakers DT- Around the World - INDIA

(If you wanna know more on how to get a blog designed especially to your style, continue reading after this post)

*****************************************

At Crafty Cardmakers for the next two weeks we want to see what you make for our:

AROUND THE WORLD theme.

And we are being sponsored by The Stampman!!!
(I've recently checked out this store and believe me, it ROCKS!)

For our Around the World Challenge, I have chosen to highlight India with my East Indian Tilda. When I saw this stamp, I just HAD to have her.....I explain why later. I paper pieced her Sari & showered her with flowers including the embossing. Did you know the flower of India is the Lotus? This is what I tried to portray with the yellow flower creation in the bottom left corner (even though the lotus is primarily purpily/pink). I love my Indian Tilda! I hope you do too .

The main reason I had to have this Tilda is because, as I was going in maternity leave at our local hospital, there were a few new nurses starting. They are from India & even though they did not know me very well, they were kind enough to provide my pregnant belly with Henna Art. A Henna tatoo! And I have been dying to make them special thank you cards, so here's one.
And this is the result of the Henna.

The Prairie Fairy herself was there & in fact did most of this wonderful creation!! Thanks my girl.
Less than one month later I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy who is now 6 months old!

SO PLEASE show us your AROUND THE WORLD creation at Crafty Cardmakers for the next two weeks.

Challenges for my card:
Creative Card Crew- Autumn colors
A spoon full of Sugar- fall in Autumn
Sew Many Challenges- embossing (wet or dry)
All Sorts Challenge- 3 punches- (scallop, borders, nestie shape)- do die cuts count?

I have added 2 more candy prizes to my candy giveaway coming up on the 26th. See top of blog.
