Roses are Red

So, what did u do for Valentines day?
Me? Nutin'. We stayed in. Ate oysters when the kids went to bed.......not such a big 'aphrodesiac' (sp?) in this house. ROTFLMAO!!
Hubby & I decided tonight would be a better day to go out for supper. At least all the restaurants won't be packed! SMART HEY? As you read this I am at work (nope, not actually working yet) attending a mandatory training day! STOOPID! But must be done! Then supper on the town!! woohoo! Thank you nanny for babysitting!

I have a birthday card to share with you all. The image is Cherrie with a Rose from Tickled Pink Stamps. I have been dying to get my hands on some of these images & finally opportunity presented itself!
Paper are Basic Grey Indian Summer line. I [heart] them & [hearted] them from the first minute I saw them. Chipboard pieces are from a misc pack I bought a while ago, as are the flowers. Sentiment is from a SU set. I cut out the circle piece of kraft paper  beside the image with my CTMH cutter system, crimped it twice, crumpled it, distressed it and sponged it with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink pad.

I made this card for my BFF for her birthday  (which is March 3rd), but I actually gave it to her yesterday.

I even made up this roses are red poem.

Thanks for looking today.

Before you go, I just wanted to let you know that my daugher just started her blog. So pls, if you get a chance, pop over to her blog and say hi. Here's the link:

Pollycraft Mondays- special birthday
Bunny Zoes- spring flowers everywhere

You've made me giggle Corry which is much needed as I'm in the middle of accounts work again.
Your card is gorgeous, love all the details and colours.
Hope you enjoy your meal (my hubby has promised to take me out for a meal very soon as he works somewhat long hours in the week so not much happened yesterday)
