Happy Canada Day & Happy July 4th to my USA neighbors.
This weekend we are having Canada Day celebrations in our neighboring town.
This picture is of my kiddos at the parade yesterday collecting candy (Hannah front & center in the striped hoodie, Reade to the right with the sideways hat & Merik in his blue sweater & blue crocs behind Hannah).............
Today we are going to the fair & watching the fireworks! YAY!

Now onto my card:
I was touched.....totally & completely touched with a challenge going on at Whimsical Wednesdays, I knew I just had to create a little something for it......more importantly for Angelo, "who is a 15 month old grandson of a fellow blogger who recently had a brain tumor removed & who is currently undergoing chemotherapy". You can read the little blurb on Margie's blog.
This touched a nerve with me as my youngest is 15 months right now & I could just cry thinking about him undergoing surgery & chemo, spending his days in the hospital.
[ below- My son, Merik. 15 months. ]
I immediately knew I wanted to use an image by the Stamp Fairy called Chubby Scarecrow & once I had the image, I remembered the little straw hat embellies I bought ages ago......I quickly sewed it in place after I had my sketch all laid out. I added some real & faux stitching and a heart doily inside & out.
This card will be on it's way to Angelo sometime next week.
I'm off to hug my loved ones........you should too!
Thanks for stopping by today.
