Crafty Cardmakers DT- Move Away From Square

PYup, you read correctly. No square cards allowed. No rectangle cards allowed.
We wanna see shapes. Circle shapes, shapes with 3 or 5 or more sides, scallop shapes, buildings, skyscrapers, purses, suitcases or trams...
To get those creative juices flowing, head on over to Crafty Cardmakers challenge blog & feast your eyes on what the DT has created .

Moving away from Square is sometimes scary for me....but when I realized I had a whole whack of die cuts from Sassy Susie's Die Cut Dreams Store , I realized I would have no problem at all. I made a birthday card along the lines of 'The Little Mermaid' book. Do u get that feel? Images are from Some Odd Girl & after seeing my blogger g-friend Trisha use one of these on a card, I knew I just had to have them. All the stuff on the inside of the 'book' are stamped with CTMH & SU stamp sets. I sponged, I colored with markers & watercolor pencils, I glittered, I charmed things up & added my never-ending stash o' bling!!!

This challenge at Crafty Cardmakers is beingn sponsored by Joanna Sheen:

Now our current spotlight going on at Crafty Cardmakers is Oriental, and that is still available to enter for the next week or so. If you want more chances to win prizes, why not make an Oriental Shaped Card and enter it into both this challenge and the spotlight challenge [both of which are running concurrently at the Crafty Cardmakers Challenge blog] !!

I can't wait to see what you create!

Challenges for my card:
Some Odd Girl- monochromatic
Stamp Something- something to celebrate
Creative Cottage- bling it on
The Paper Players (3rd)- monochromatic
PollyCraft Mondays- anything goes
Daring Cardmakers- Opal (Oct Birthstone) [see pic below]

This looks so good on the book, love all your stamped under the sea type sayings and the rounds pearly/sequin things are the perfect finishing touch!

This is positively adorable, Corry! I think I would have a hard time moving away from square too, but you have certainly mastered it. The images are adorable - love the way you have the bubbles coming up - and the colors are perfect too!

Hugs,
Linda
