It's a Rainy Day

Boy oh Boy, some of you may have been wondering where I have been!
A day off between posts.....I KNOW....CRAZY RIGHT!!! LOL

I am officially off on my 7 day stretch......I simply love having 7-9 day stretches off of work so I can get into my crafty zone, creating til the wee hours of the morn while everyone is asleep! Like a mini- VA-CA every 4 weeks!! That makes me smile :-)

This is a card I made on my LAST stretch off from work using a Saturated Canary image. If you haven't heard of Saturated Canary then you MUST WAKE UP AND SMELL THE EMBOSSING POWDER. Saturated Canary artist Krista Smith is also the mega-mind & slight of hand behind the Simply Sassy Stamps. She does AMaZinG work & I have quickly fallen in love with her stuffs.
This image is called Let it Rain. I immediately fell in love with her when I saw her. And after making the card front, I realized it would look great as an easle! So here we are. The blue papers are from one of my paper pads I NEVA got a chance to crack open yet......Stella Rose by MME!.

A few pics of the finer details.  I used my  SU scallop punch on the base & added a layer & a button. Made the dots with my white gel pen! OOoooo almost forgot I slid some pins in the lace there on the base as well!

The next pic down shows some of the glitter I added to her dress & umbrella.

The bottom pic is of a sentiment I got from Sentiments4You.

Unfortunately I made this card before the new Saturated Canary Challenge blog kicked off (which is a sketch with an optional halloween theme). Instead I followed the sketch below and have also found a few other challenges to enter as well.

Well, gotta go create, comment & cook (not really, I think I'll order out, I just couldn't think of another "c" word.........oooo............) call! LOL
Have a good one!

Challenges for my card:
Crafty Cardmakers- anything goes
365 cards- 5 or more layers
2 sisters- fancy folds
Bunny Zoes- sketch (see below) -
