Fussy & Fancy DT- Winter Wonderland

For the next two weeks at Fussy & Fancy we want to see a :

WINTER WONDERLAND !!

C'mon get into your creative center & show us your version of a winter wonderland!
It is a winter scene, is it a winter recipe, is it mystical/magical christmas, is it snowflakes.....what is YOUR winter wonderland?!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Stitchy Bear Stamps & the winner will get 5 digis from their store.

I have used a number of different elements for my card.
First of all, the mailbox you see is a digi from Stitchy Bear Stamps called "Got Mail".
I have paired it up with an Edwin image I got sent to me as a RAK from my blogger friend Vix.
How cute is Edwin delivering letters to that mailbox.
I also created a Winter Scene by stamping my (newly arrived) Magnolia Tree stamp. I masked the tree stamp numerous times & then I actually placed the mask template onto the scene, right beside Edwin. All those cool shades of green on it, makes it an original.
On the tress I places strings of bling & different color brads as well as liquid applique.

TIPS FOR USING LIQUID APPLIQUE:
What I did with the applique this time is a bit different than my usualI usual of  putting the liquid applique on & heating it up immediately OR putting it on  & letting it dry naturally. THIS time, on the advice from a fellow DT friend, I let it dry overnight then put the heat gun to it.....
AND WOW.......
.......we got snow!!! I LOVE IT!!!
Yup, there's snow on the mailbox too!
I added a little Happy Holidays sticker as well.

The die cut shape is from Mrs. Sugar's Die Cut Dreams Store. First time using an oval & it worked perfectly to fit my winter scene!
I stamped snowflakes around the edge of the diecut with my versamark stamp & added white embossing powder to them.....and again took out my heat gun to make them POP!!

Then there's the secret tag that is hiding between the die cut layers.
It is a recipe tag.........for homemade hot chocolate!

There's nothing better than a nice cuppa hot chocolate after a walk in MY winter wonderland!!!

The tag shape you see here is from Sentimental Sundays, it was a freebie a couple weeks back.

Please do come by the Fussy & Fancy Challenge blog for a chance to win some great digis!!
